What is VOIP? Simply put: It is an internet based telecommunication system.

Does the other person need this service to receive my calls? No. VOIP makes originating calls across the internet very easy, but at the other end the phone can be an old fashioned phone, or a VOIP system to receive calls.

What do I need for this service? A high speed internet connection such as DSL, cable, or wireless. For home and small business users, any standard telephone connected to the provided converter (free or at a minimal cost, depending on the plan). For nBPX Customers, a special VOIP phone is required and can be purchased alone with your subscription.

Does VOIP provide voice mail? Voice mail is just one of the many exciting services available. You can forward voice mail to e-mail addresses, you use sophisticated call routing not easily accomplished with standard telephone service.
